“About 25 women visit me daily” — Kwaku Bonsam on rising demand for juju

Traditional priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam has claimed that more married women than men visit him daily for spiritual assistance, popularly known as “juju,” largely driven by concerns over marital stability and fidelity.

Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime, he said a significant number of women seek spiritual intervention to keep their husbands faithful and strengthen their marriages.

According to him, the trend is increasingly influenced by fears that younger women, including students, are competing for the attention of married men.

“Women come more. Looking at the statistics, about 25 married women visit me every day. Most of them want their partners to love them so much. These days, young school girls are snatching people’s husbands,” he said.

Kwaku Bonsam argued that while many clients turn to spiritual solutions, relationship stability is often influenced more by personal care and behaviour than mystical interventions.

He stressed that physical appearance and self-presentation play a key role in sustaining attraction within marriages.

“It’s not the spiritual charm; it’s the dressing, because she changed his hair, did the nails, wearing a sexy outfit,” he noted.

The traditional priest added that he often advises women who visit him to focus on grooming and self-care rather than relying solely on spiritual means to solve marital challenges.
