Two arrested in connection with robbery and murder at Mpasatia

The Nkawie Divisional Police Command has announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with a recent case of robbery and murder of Radiance fuel station manager

One of the suspects identified as William Ofori Atta, 29, was apprehended at Kukuom in the Ahafo Region for his alleged involvement in the robbery and killing of Emmanuel Kwabena Boakye, 28, at the Radiance Filling Station in Mpasatia in the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred on May 26, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m.

Following a coordinated investigation revealed by the police, the suspect was arrested on June 21, 2025, at about 5:30 a.m.

During police interrogation, the suspect admitted to shooting and killing the victim.

A mobile phone believed to belong to the deceased was retrieved from the suspect and will undergo further forensic analysis.

The suspect is currently in custody and will face justice in court.

The Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe speaking during a press briefing, commended the swift collaboration between the various units involved in the arrest and assured the public of the Command’s commitment to ensuring safety and security.
