COVID-19: Ashanti region records 58 deaths; district breakdown

Ashanti region has recorded 58 COVID-19 deaths.

Kumasi Metro leads 1,165 with 33 deaths followed by Oforikrom which has recorded 597 with only one casualty.

Obuasi Municipal and Obuasi East  have so far confirmed  445 and 291 respectively with  4 deaths each.

The latest update by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) shows that 697 new cases have been recorded, pushing the total count to  20,085.

Five more people have succumbed to the disease, making the death count 122.

The active cases are 5,093 with the discharges/recoveries count pegged at 14,870.
