Abronye, Franklin Cudjo others Ignorant of Towing Policy – Maurice Ampaw
Ignorance among others are the reasons some individuals and politicians are kicking against the mandatory towing policy, public interest lawyer and the advocator of the policy, Morris Ampaw has said.
“Unnecessary politicization, envy and jealousy on the part of some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) such as Abronye and Franklin Cudjo are the reasons for speaking against the policy”, he claims.
“When the policy came to light, there were whole lot of baseless controversies from them without having any understanding and knowledge of it”.
“They made every noise and threatened to quit NPP because of ignorance, envy and jealous”, he claimed.
According to him, after reflecting and taking time to study the contract agreement, it is important everyone support the law contrary to his earlier position against it.
“For all that they were saying and was unable to trace the leg and tail of it, I find time to go to the National Road Safety Commission to demand better explanation from them”.
“After they furnished me necessary documents to study them, I realized the policy is a good one everyone should embrace it”, Lawyer Morris Ampaw spoke at a forum organized by Public Education Bureau in Kumasi.
“One time I was on my way to Sunyani to make case as legal practitioner, when I reached Abesewa I drove into a disabled vehicle on the shoulder of the road when my car somersaulted for more then eight times”, he recollected.
“Politicising the issues and claiming that the implementer is a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress is low headed to hear from critics”,
The controversial lawyer therefore urged the people to give their full support to government to help curb carnages on roads.
