EKK Charity Foundation Founder Offers Full Scholarship to Two Orphan Girls after OTEC FM’s Reportage
The Founder of EKK Charity Foundation, Mr. Emmanuel Kofi Kwafo, has generously offered a full scholarship to two orphan girls, enabling them to pursue their education from Senior High School to the university level.
The girls, both under 16 years old, had completed Junior High School but were unable to continue their education due to financial constraints.
They resorted to hawking on the streets at Asuofua in the Ashanti Region to raise funds for their education.
Following a report by OTEC FM’s Jacob Agyenim Boateng, a member of the Journalists in Social Protection (JISOP), Mr. Kwafo stepped in to provide initial support of GH¢6,000 to cover the girls’ school expenses.
Mr Kwafo Speaking OTEC FM’s morning show Nyansapo hosted by Captain Koda, pledged to take full responsibility for their educational costs from Senior High School to tertiary level.
The girls have been enrolled in the prestigious Afia Kobi Ampem Girls SHS, thanks to the EKK Foundation’s support.
Their mother, Abigail Frimpong, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Emmanuel Kofi Kwafo, acknowledging that her daughters’ educational dreams would not have been possible without the foundation’s assistance.
In a related development, the girls have also received support from renowned philanthropist and 2024 Best Farmer in the Atwima Mponua District, Nana Danso.
He donated GH¢10,000 to support their education.
Nana Danso, known for his generosity, was the first to step in and offer assistance after learning about the girls’ story.
“I was deeply touched by their story and felt compelled to help,” he explained.
“Nobody knows what the future holds for them, so I’m doing this to encourage them to pursue their education, as they are the future.”
Nana Danso has pledged to monitor the girls’ progress and provide future support when necessary, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to succeed.
