President John Mahama has formally inducted the newly appointed members of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Council.
This vital body plays a crucial role in guiding the military’s strategic direction and offering essential advisory support.
Speaking during the swearing in on Monday (24 March), President Mahama tasked the newly appointed Armed Forces Council with fostering confidence, fairness, and trust within the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the broader society.
President Mahama also expressed deep appreciation to the brave officers, men, and women of the Ghana Armed Forces for their sacrifices. He acknowledged their relentless efforts in safeguarding national security, noting that their dedication remains a pillar of peace and stability in Ghana.
“Your leadership, as the Armed Forces Council, must inspire confidence, fairness, and trust in the Armed Forces and among the Ghanaian people. A strong military earns the respect of its citizens through service, integrity, and unwavering dedication to duty.
“To the gallant officers, men, and women of the Ghana Armed Forces, I want to take a moment to express our deep gratitude for your service and sacrifice,” he said.
