Parliament pays last respect to late Asantehemaa today
The leadership of Parliament will today be at the Manhyia palace to pay their last respect to the late Asantehemaa Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, mother of the Asantehene.
The delegation led by the Speaker Professor Mike Oquaye will join chiefs and other dignitaries who are commiserating with the Asantehene.
The final funeral rites which enters day three today has already seen other dignitaries including President Akufo-Addo and former President Kufuor gracing the occasion.
Former Presidents Mahama and Rawlings are expected in the Garden City today to also pay their last respect to the late queen.
His Majesty the King, Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, is also expected to pay his last respect to the late Asantehemaa today.
