Asantehema’s Burial Curfew: ARCC warns Service Workers to wear uniforms, IDs in fresh directive

The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has issued a public announcement outlining directives for essential government workers and the general public during the funeral and burial of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
The directives are in line with instructions from the Manhyia Palace and aim to ensure a smooth and dignified observance of the funeral proceedings.
According to the announcement, essential government workers are required to wear their official service uniforms and identification cards while on duty.
They are also encouraged to use official government vehicles to commute to and from their duty stations whenever practicable.
The ARCC has also advised exempted institutions and essential workers to cooperate fully with security personnel and other regulatory agencies enforcing movement restrictions during the funeral period.
This measure is expected to help maintain order and security in the region.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene, emphasized the importance of cooperation from all stakeholders in ensuring the successful implementation of the directives.
He expressed appreciation for the public’s understanding and cooperation in adhering to the guidelines.
The directives are part of the preparations for the burial of the late Asantehemaa, which is expected to draw large crowds and high-profile guests.
The Manhyia Palace and the ARCC are working together to ensure that the funeral proceedings are conducted with the dignity and respect due to her royal status.
