Don’t be nation wreckers: Vote Bawumia—Kwadjo Owusu Bempah cautions Asona clan

Kwadjo Owusu Bempah, Aspiring Constituency Chairman for Nhyiaeso NPP.
Kwadjo Owusu Bempah, an aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Nhyiaeso, has passionately urged members of the Asona Clan across Ghana to rally behind the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Speaking to the press shortly after filing his nomination forms at the party’s constituency office, Mr. Bempah emphasized that Dr. Bawumia shares ancestral and symbolic ties with the Asona Clan, making it a cultural and national duty for clan members to support his leadership.
As Ghana approaches critical electoral milestones, including the 2024 general elections and the subsequent 2028 cycle, Mr. Bempah reminded the electorate that the Asona Clan, historically recognized as one of the largest and most influential maternal lineages within the Akan ethnic group, holds significant sway over the country’s political landscape.
“Any Asona Clan member who fails to vote for Dr. Bawumia could be viewed as undermining the nation’s progress,”
Mr. Bempah stated bluntly.
He added, “To reject him would be to deny Ghana access to our finest human resource, an act that borders on political self-sabotage.”
Traits of Leadership:
Mr. Bempah, himself a royal hailing from Boadi and Goaso, and a prominent member of the Hoahi Royal Family (Asona Clan) drew on rich historical context to back his claims.
Within Akan custom, the Asona clan (symbolized by the crow) is traditionally characterized by wisdom, diplomacy, exceptional intellect, and leadership acumen.
According to Mr. Bempah, Dr. Bawumia embodies these exact inherent traits:
Exceeding Wisdom and Knowledge: Proven through his steering of national economic and digitalization policies.
Diplomatic Tact:
A unifying figure capable of crossing ethnic and religious divides.
Unrivaled Competence:
A visionary approach tailored for Ghana’s modern transformational agenda.
“Dr. Bawumia represents the very best version of the Asona spirit,” the aspiring Chairman stressed.
He added, “He possesses the distinct qualities that set our clan apart, making him uniquely qualified to steer Ghana into a prosperous future.”
Local Impact:
Beyond national politics, Mr. Bempah’s address highlighted his deep-seated commitment to his local constituency.
Serving as a long-time Patron for the Nhyiaeso Constituency, he has consistently leveraged his personal resources to fortify the NPP’s local and regional operations.
His tangible contributions to the constituency include:
Logistical Support:
The donation of three Toyota Corolla vehicles and a Nissan operational pickup truck to facilitate party mobilization and campaign logistics.
Community Water Projects:
The successful funding and drilling of multiple mechanized boreholes to provide clean drinking water to underserved communities within Nhyiaeso.
Educational Infrastructure:
The ongoing construction of a state-of-the-art Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Center.
In a moving tribute, Mr. Bempah announced that the ultra-modern ICT hub will be named in honor of Nhyiaeso’s legendary late Chairman, George Kofi Agyei—affectionately known across the region as “GeoKad.”
Vision:
Looking ahead, Mr. Bempah outlined a robust socioeconomic vision for the constituency if elected Chairman.
His primary objective is to transition Nhyiaeso into a self-supportive socio-political hub.
By utilizing his extensive network and corporate influence, he aims to roll out sustainable youth empowerment initiatives and comprehensive welfare programs for the aged.
This vision was recently on display during a Mother’s Day event organized by his outfit, where over 600 constituents received high-quality wax prints, financial grants, and livelihood support.
“Our goal is to make Nhyiaeso a model constituency,” Mr. Bempah concluded.
“A place where the welfare of every constituent is prioritized, where healthcare and education are accessible to all, and where our youth are empowered to be fiercely independent.”
